Specific red-brown women’s shoes sold in Deichmann stores have been recalled from the Croatian shelves because of the chromium content that is dangerous to people’s health.

Chromium could lead to allergies and in certain cases contribute to some types of cancer, the daily Jutarnji List writes.

The same shoes were recalled these days in Germany. Zagreb branch of Deichmann says that the shoes are no longer on sale, but were not sure how many dangerous samples have been sold or when they were taken off the shelves.

Anyone who has bought these shoes can return them for a full refund.
