A quarter of a million pieces of cigarettes and more than 76 kilos of loose tobacco have been seized at the Kapitan Andreevo customs checkpoint in a week, the press office of the National Customs Agency announced for FOCUS News Agency.

More than 100,000 pieces of the seized cigarettes and 53 kilos of the tobacco were found in thorough customs checks on vehicles selected under the risk analysis method. Some 98 fines for administrative violations have been imposed.
The rest of the cigarettes and tobacco were confiscated from people crossing the Turkish-Bulgarian border for exceeding the admissible amount of duty-free import.
