Ministers Ahmetovic, Dacic and Brajovic sign joint statement on cooperation

Strengthening of cooperation in area of border security is precondition of successful fight against crime in the region, it was stated in the statement signed by the three ministers.
Ministers of Security and Interior of BiH, Serbia and Montenegro Sadik Ahmetovic, Ivica Dacic and Ivan Brajovic signed a joint statement after their meeting on Zlatibor (Republic of Serbia).
As stated in the statement, need of exchange of experiences in area of European integration was stressed, especially regional approach to area Justice, freedom and security (Chapter 24).
Furthermore, importance of strengthening of cooperation in area of fight against all forms of organized crime was emphasized. In that sense, need of taking joint concrete measures in prevention, unveiling and fight against terrorism was stressed to strengthen security in the region.
Strengthening of cooperation in area of border security is precondition of successful fight against crime in the region, it was stated in the statement signed by the three ministers.
In that sense, they agreed special attention needs to be paid to promotion of cooperation in area of border control, fight against migrants smuggling and human trafficking.
They agreed there needs to be efficient exchange of intelligence in the region, coordinating activities of their national organs responsible for public security issues and it is necessary to exchange knowledge and practical experiences from all relevant areas.
Ministers stressed importance of developing dialogue on Ministerial level and agreed it is necessary to continue mutual coordination of activities in area of interior affairs in the light of European perspective of all three states.
