Minister without Portfolio Sulejman Ugljanin opened a two-day Serbian-Turkish Forum yesterday and called on Turkish businessmen to invest in Serbia.
Speaking at this event held at the Holiday Inn hotel, Ugljanin voiced the hope that Turkish investors will invest in 42 underdeveloped municipalities in Serbia and that he, as president of the mixed committee for economic cooperation between Serbia and Turkey, will do everything to expand this cooperation to the rest of the country.
The Turkish business delegation consists of representatives from large companies in the field of construction, and furniture and food industries from the Aegean region.
The Turkish businessmen believe that economic cooperation between Serbia and Turkey is insufficiently developed and that the Agreement on free trade between the two countries should be better used.
