Comico won’t give up on refinery

Comico Oil stated it will consider building its refinery in Pozarevac or Kovin, in case Smederevo rejects the project.

Comico Oil stated it will consider building its refinery in Pozarevac or Kovin, in case Smederevo rejects the project.

Town Assembly of Smedarevo will decide on Tuesday whether a referendum will be held which will gives the residents the opportunity to decide if they support the refinery or not.

Comico Oil, daughter company of Comico Overseas, plans to invest USD 250 million in the building of the refinery.

The company has offered USD 4.25 to lease 115 hectares of land in Smederevo industrial zone, which has been chosen for the new modern oil refinery.
