The Association of Serbs from Croatia has severely condemned the ethnic cleansing of the Serb people from Krajina and other regions of Croatia 15 years ago.
On the occasion of Serbs’ exodus from Croatia in august 1995, as a result of the military and police action “Storm”, the Association has condemned the pogrom of the Serb people and their cultural and spiritual values, enforcing other confession, destruction of sanctities, living facilities, persecution and a systematic prevention of their return.
All the laws passed by the Croatian Parliament after the “Storm” have been discriminating, in the function of hindering the return and finalizing the results of the policy of ethnic cleansing
It is of the essential importance to avoid discrimination in condemning the crimes, based on the confession or nationality of the innocent victims, reads the communiqué of the Association of Serbs from Croatia.
It has been pointed that Croatia is purposefully avoiding to realize the obligations, thus violating the provisions of the international law, taken over from the multilateral agreements, such as the Document of succession, signed by all former members of the federal state, as well as many bilateral agreements and national legal regulations.
