RWE to stay in Serbia

Germany’s electric power and natural gas utility RWE denied speculations on its withdrawal from Serbia. RWE is still working on the realization of the projects for the hydroelectric power plants with the capacity of 3,000 MW in Serbia and Republika Srpska.

Germany’s electric power and natural gas utility RWE denied speculations on its withdrawal from Serbia. RWE is still working on the realization of the projects for the hydroelectric power plants with the capacity of 3,000 MW in Serbia and Republika Srpska.

There are at the moment three possible power plant location:s Rivers Danube, Morava and Drina.

In the meantime, RWE and the EPS have signed an agreement which defines the cooperation between the two companies on the projects on River Velika Morava and Derdap III.

Serbia, as well as the rest of the CEE, remain crucial areas of market growth for RWE, the company states.
