The status conference in the case of former commander of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) Rasmus Haradinaj and his associates Idriz Baljaj and Ljahi Brahimaj will be held on May 2, the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) stated on Tuesday.
Haradinaj, former prime minister of Kosovo, and two former KLA members are accused of crimes against humanity and violation of laws and customs of war in Kosovo in 1998.
The ICTY Appeals Chamber however ordered a partial retrial on six out of 37 original counts, because the prosecution had great difficulties in getting witness statements as many of them said they were afraid to testify in court.
This is the first retrial in the ICTY history.
