The total number of dead from the clashes in Tahrir Square has risen to over 40. The figure was reported by a source from Cairo morgue, on condition of anonymity.

"We are looking for cars and coffins, because we don't have enough," added another source while a doctor, Mona Mina, reported having seen at least 15 people dead with gunshot wounds.
