Serbs in Spain form association

The Association of Serbs in Spain has been formed in Barcelona at the initiative of several hundred Serb immigrants, the Serbian Ministry for the Diaspora released on Monday.

Visual artist Pero Cirkovic was elected association president, while economist Vojislav Djordjevic was appointed secretary, the release reads.

Around 4.500 Serbs, who immigrated to Spain in early '90s, are currently living in Madrid and Barcelona.
Ireland is home to 1.500 Serbs, and the Association of Serbs has been recently established in Cork, southern Ireland, a city with second-largest Serb population after Dublin.

The Association of Serbs in Ireland also established the first school of the Serbian language for children.

Serbia’s Diaspora has over 3.000 Serbian organisations, clubs, associations, unions, political parties, art societies, professional associations, communities, parishes, sport clubs and folk dance groups.
