Kosovo President Bedzet Pacoli stated that the issue of the municipalities of Bujanovac, Medvedja and Presevo in southern Serbia would be included in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue if the Belgrade negotiating team decides to bring up the issue of Kosovo Serbs.

Pacoli expressed belief that representatives of the Presevo Valley would join in the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia. He said that this is something that cannot be bypassed if the issue of Kosovo Serbs is brought up in the dialogue, and added that he doubts this would happen.

He said that no promises were made to the Serbian community. However, in case of concession for the Serbian side in Kosovo, Pristina will definitely require reciprocity for Albanians in Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, Pacoli said in an interview for the Presevo-based Preseva Jone news agency.

He stated that during the dialogue with Belgrade, the Pristina negotiating team will stay within the set limits, which means that only technical issues will be discussed but that other political matters would be left out, such as borders or certain internal matters like the Kosovska Mitrovca issue.
