The creation of new biometric passports for the inhabitants of Kosovo will cost more than EUR 14 million, and the first document booklets should be ready in four months, the Kosovo Interior Ministry has said in a release.

Representatives of the Kosovo Interior Ministry signed a contract for the printing and supply of biometric passport booklets with the Austrian State Printing House (OeSD), to the amount of EUR 14,127,000, according to the release.
The Kosovo Interior Ministry further said that the Austrian company OeSD, having met all the requirements set out in the tender documentation in accordance with the law on public procurement and respecting all other administrative procedures, was declared the winner of the tender.
