Tadic underlined that its is very important for owners and directors of major German and world companies to see and hear why Serbia is the right destination for investments, and get acquainted with the quality and proficiency of our people.

Serbia has resumed its place on the world map of countries which are technically and technologically competitive, Boris Tadic, presidential candidate of the 'For a Better Life' coalition, said in a text for the Wednesday edition of the Belgrade daily Press.

“The most important thing for us which happened at the 2012 Hannover Messe was the return of Serbia and its companies to the family of 65 states and their 6,500 companies,” Tadic underlined.

According to him, after all the years of Serbia being badly presented throughout the world, the Hannover fair yielded a considerable contribution to the improvement of Serbia's image among the world business elite.

Tadic underlined that its is very important for owners and directors of major German and world companies to see and hear why Serbia is the right destination for investments, and get acquainted with the quality and proficiency of our people.

He said that the arrival of large European companies builds up trust with companies from other parts of the world, for instance Asia, as a proof that their investments will be secure, successful and profitable.

The meetings with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao were a chance to underline the importance of the economic cooperation, he said.

“It is a fact that the interest of the German investors has increased considerably, and I expect that representatives of German major banks will soon arrive to Serbia, which would be a clear signal for companies to follow,” Tadic said.

Tadic added that the potentials were also discussed with Eckhard Cordes, chairman of the Eastern Committee of German Economy.

“Due to all these potentials and the chances which have emerged, it is very important that the coming elections show that the citizens are determined to continue the stabile progress towards the EU, new investments, new production, jobs, and security for each citizen and family,” Tadic underlined.
