Three trucks of the Russian Emergencies Ministry brought humanitarian aid to the Serbian city of Nis on Monday, April 23.

“A column of the 179th rescue Centre of the Russian Emergencies Ministry has successfully arrived in the city of Nis, brining 36 tonnes of cargoes for replenishing supplies of the joint Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Centre,” Counsellor Pyotr Frolov of the Russian Embassy in Serbia told Itar-Tass.

The aid includes heaters, blankets, rescue and emergency kits, mobile power plants, boats, pumps and dams.

An Emergencies Ministry plane with medicines and medical equipment will arrive in Nis on Tuesday, April 24. The supplies will be distributed among medical facilities of North Kosovo.

The Humanitarian Centre will be solemnly opened on Wednesday, April 25, with high-ranking Russian and Serbian officials attending the ceremony.
