The Central Election Commission (CIK) has delivered a decision that the elections for the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina were not conducted in conformity with the BiH Election Law in all ten cantons, and therefore the conditions for its constitution were not met.
The CIK declared Thursday the elections of the president and vice-president of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina null and void, after having determined that the elections were not carried out in line with the BiH Election Law, the BiH media reported.
The House of Peoples was constituted last week, without delegates of the two Croatian parties- the Croatian Democratic Community (HDZ-BiH) and HDZ 1990, which are present in three cantons that have not been formed yet.
Since this body was formed last week without Croatian delegates, the CIK annulled the elections of the BiH president and vice-president.
The BiH general elections were held in October 2010, and the government in BiH and entity of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina have not been formed yet.
