Internet in BiH is used by 52 percent of the population

President of the Association of Telecommunications BHTEL, Himzo Bajric, said that the information technology in today's lifestyle is a necessity and that such technologies do not depend on distance and that they provide a good chance for small countries and nations to show themselves to the whole world.

Jasmin Musovic, a representative of the Regulatory Agency for Communications, said that 52 percent of the population of BiH uses the Internet.

To mark the 17th of May, which is the 'World Day of Telecommunications', Chairman of the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH, Veselin Poljasevic, said that this year's topic is dedicated to ICT issues in rural areas because, in the world, 3.5 billion people live in such areas.
