Romanians aged over 55 will be able to buy discount package tours from September, and Bulgaria again offers the most attractively priced packages, the Evenimentul Zilei daily of Bucharest says.
Romania introduced special packages for people aged 55 and over two years ago. They are up to 50 per cent cheaper for holidays in Spain, Cyprus, Turkey, Greece and Israel, which makes them affordable for this low income group, the daily says.
The lowest priced package holidays are in Bulgaria. A holiday in the seaside resort of Albena between September 4 and October 20 costs about 170 euro for half-board accommodation in a three-star hotel, the Evenimentul Zilei says.
