Defense ministers of Serbia and China Dragan Sutanovac and Liang Guanglie, respectively, agreed in Beijing on Tuesday that there is a need to enhance personnel and medical exchanges to further deepen bilateral military ties.

During their official talks, Minister Liang talked positively about the growing strength of the military relations between China and Serbia, citing frequent high-level visits and sound cooperation in various fields, the Chinese national news agency Xinhua reported.

Sutanovac echoed Liang's suggestion, adding the Serbian Defense Ministry attached great importance to developing cooperation with China, and hoped to enhance military exchanges with the country, including personnel training and military medical service.

Liang appreciated Serbia's adherence to the one-China policy, adding that China was ready to invest joint efforts with the country to boost further development of the bilateral strategic partnership.

During his several-day official visit to China, Sutanovac is scheduled to also meet with Chairman of China's National People's Congress Wu Bangguo.
