Earlier during the founding session, the MPs took the oath of office prescribed by Kosovo's Constitution.
Among the representatives taking the oath were 13 Serb MPs.
This is Krasnici's second term as parliamentary speaker.
He was elected with the votes of MPs whose parties will make up the new Kosovo government, including eight MPs of the Independent Liberal Party and the Serb Social-Democratic Party of Kosovo.
Members of the United Serb List voted against Krasnici.
Five deputy speakers were also elected: Dzavid Haljiti, Sabri Hamiti, Glauk Konjufca, Petar Miletic and Enis Kervan.
The parliament of Kosovo has 120 seats. A hundred are filled in the election, and 20 are reserved for Serbs and other non-Albanian communities.
