Croatia Airlines started Monday its first direct flights between Belgrade and Dubrovnik, with planes scheduled to fly between the two cities Mondays and Fridays.

A 76 seat Dash 8-Q400 turbo prop plane landed at Belgrade airport just before 10 a.m.

Serbia's national airline Jat Airways also started twice-weekly flights to Dubrovnik June 17 which will go on for the duration of the summer season. The connection was re-established after more than two decades.

A return ticket with Jat Airways starts at EUR 142, including all taxes but not including the charge for issuing a ticket.

Croatia Airlines one-way tickets start at EUR 70, all taxes included.
