Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic won the Gram Slam tournament in Wimbledon by defeating Spaniard Rafael Nadal in the final with 3:1 (6:4, 6:1, 1:6, 6:3).

Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic won the Gram Slam tournament in Wimbledon by defeating Spaniard Rafael Nadal in the final with 3:1 (6:4, 6:1, 1:6, 6:3).

The best Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic will become the world’s no. 1 too as of 4 July.

This is Djokovic's first trophy at the world's most prestigious tournament, his third Grand Slam title and 26th title overall.

His first two Grand Slam victories came at the Australian Open in 2008 and 2011.

The win against Nadal was Djokovic's 48th triumph since the start of the season, with only one defeat.

Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic congratulated today the best tennis player of Serbia and the world Novak Djokovic on winning the title at Wimbledon tournament.

“On behalf of the Serbian government and myself, I congratulate you on this great success. Serbia is proud of you”, reads the letter of congratulations of the Prime Minister.

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic congratulated Novak Djokovic today on the victory at Wimbledon tournament.

“On behalf of the Ministry of the Interior and myself, I congratulate the world’s best tennis player on winning this prestigious tournament.

We are proud and immensely happy that persistence, work and many sacrifices did pay off “, reads the letter of congratulations from the First Deputy Prime Minister.
