In a statement to Russian newspaper “Komsomolskaya pravda“, Jeremic underlined that Serbia is ready for negotiations on Kosovo’s future status and added that negotiation frameworks are based first of all on the Constitution of Serbia, decisions of Serbian parliament and international law. Serbia's position on Kosovo-Metohija is principled and firm and based on the Constitution and international law, which includes the opinion of the UN and the UN Security Council Resolution 1244.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic said that Serbia's position on Kosovo-Metohija is principled and firm and based on the Constitution and international law, which includes the opinion of the UN and the UN Security Council Resolution 1244.

Speaking about dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Jeremic said that a series of technical issues are discussed at the moment whose resolution should make the life of citizens in Kosovo-Metohija easier.

He noted that for each of these issues Serbia has prepared a list of possible solutions which do not contradict our constitutional position on Kosovo-Metohija neither in the legal, nor in the political sense.

Jeremic underlined that the situation is most difficult in southern enclaves and that Belgrade tries to help them in every way – financially, by sending construction materials, textbooks etc.

The Minister welcomed the support of Russia which sends humanitarian aid to Serbian citizens in Kosovo-Metohija.
