Borislav Stefanovic, head of Belgrade's negotiating team in the dialog with Pristina, said on Aug. 15 that Kosovo's customs stamps must not include statehood insignia and be status neutral.

Borislav Stefanovic, head of Belgrade's negotiating team in the dialog with Pristina, said on Aug. 15 that Kosovo's customs stamps must not include statehood insignia and be status neutral.

Stefanovic would not comment on reports by Belgrade media on an alleged proposal by Serbia to introduce dual stamps at the Kosovo administrative line, stating that the Serbian government's proposal would be known early next month.

He told BETA that the stamps may not include Kosovo statehood emblems and that the accompanying documentation should be status neutral. "All other modifications of the approach are possible and it remains for us to start negotiations and resolve this thing."

Asked about the implementation of a deal between the Serbian government and KFOR on northern Kosovo, Stefanovic replied that the agreement was currently "producing results."

Belgrade's chief negotiator said northern Kosovo Serbs were justified in their fears of pressure from Kosovo authorities and violent spread of Pristina's influence.
