Support to the holding of the Pride Parade has been given by representatives of various state institutions and some political parties and the organizers have pointed out that the fact that it is backed by Serbian President Boris Tadic was particularly important to them.

The Pride Parade will be held in Belgrade on October 2, but the exact place and time where and when members of the LGBT community will gather that day in the Serbian capital will be announced subsequently for security reasons, a representative of the Association of Citizens' Pride Belgrade Jovanka Todorovic said at a press conference.

Organizers said the event was announced to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, with which agreement was previously reached on a date.
