U.S.Ambassador to Serbia Mary Warlick stated on Oct. 5 that, since 2001, the U.S. has provided USD52 million in aid for the development of Serbian agriculture through various projects. Warlick visited Pancevo in order to see the results of this aid.

The most important programs used by the Pancevo-based Tamis Institute are the permanent training of its experts from the advisory service at the University of Pennsylvania, and the implementation of the latest methods in land working, which preserve the soil and reduce production costs, Warlick said.

"I am pleased that you have always been a reliable partner to our institutions, and the good team of experts you have was the key factoring this cooperation. What especially pleases me is that, in your work, you put the emphasis on environmental protection, because the preservation of resources is our joint task," Warlick told employees of the Pancevo institute.
