The security situation in Kosovo is fragile and conditions have not yet been created for the reduction in the number KFOR troops, Hungarian Defense Minister Csaba Hende has stated.
Hende gave a statement for the Hungarian news agency MTI after the meeting with Supreme Allied Commander Europe Admiral James Stavridis in Brussels Wednesday. Hende said that the majority of defense ministers of NATO member states taking part in the two-day meeting in Brussels share Stavridis's position.
He added that NATO should be careful regarding the reduction in KFOR troops, and that, before making any moves, it should carefully examine whether there are conditions to do so. At this point, a total of 250 Hungarian soldiers are deployed in Kosovo, MTI reported.
