Hackers support WikiLeaks

Dutch police arrested a 16 year old boy suspected of involvement into attacks against web sites MasterCard and Visa which are assumed to have been launched by the supporters of the website WikiLeaks, in which confidential documents and recordings are revealed.

Police, that arrested the suspect on Wednesday evening in his home in Hague, reported he admitted involvement into attacks against credit cards companies’ websites. On that occasion, the police confiscated computers and data storage devices.

Dutch police believes this young man is a member of a group of WikiLeaks sympathisers, attacking websites by “overwhelming” a server disabling it to show certain webpage.

In the meantime, a group of hackers in London, calling themselves The Anonymous Ones”, announced the British government’s website crushing in case Julian Assange is extradited to Sweden, where he is wanted for allegations of sexual harassment.

In an action titled ‘Operation: Revenge’, the hackers already crushed the Swedish government’s website, as well as web pages of companies MasterCard and Visa, which. Along with PayPal, announced revoking of payments for WikiLeaks.

In the meantime, WikiLeaks stated they are not connected with attacks against these global companies’ websites and that they did not support, nor condemned the online company led by the hackers, agency Reuters reported.
