The 4th Subversive Film Festival will be held in Zagreb from May 7 to 21, with "Decolonisation - New Struggles for Emancipation" as the main theme.
The 4th Subversive Film Festival will be held in Zagreb from May 7 to 21, with "Decolonisation - New Struggles for Emancipation" as the main theme.
The programme will focus on post-colonial Indian and African cinematography and will also feature films by Australian Aboriginal and American Navajo Indian directors.
A conference involving major contemporary theorists, including Antonio Negri, Terry Eagleton, Zygmunt Bauman, David Harvey, Slavoj Zizek and Samir Amin, will be held as part of the festival. Also held will be lectures, panel discussions and book launches.
