European ombudsman Nikiforos Diamandouros arrives in Bulgaria

From 18th to 20th July, the European ombudsman Nikiforos Diamandouros will be on an official visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of his Bulgarian counterpart Konstantin Penchev.

From 18th to 20th July, the European ombudsman Nikiforos Diamandouros will be on an official visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of his Bulgarian counterpart Konstantin Penchev.

During his visit, the European ombudsman will confer with he Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov, Parliament Speaker Tsetska Tsacheva and PM Boyko Borissov on issues related to human rights.

Diamandouros will also meet with MPs from the Human Rights Commission at the Bulgarian Parliament, judges from the Constitutional Court and representatives from the Bulgarian office of the European Commission.
