Price of major foods in Bulgaria 22 % higher in one year

In an interview for the Bulgarian National Radio, the chairperson of the State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Market places, Eduard Stoiochev, has reported that within a year since last July, the prices of major food products in Bulgaria have risen by 22 per cent.

The statistics refers to 15 basic foods, including sugar, flour, oil, meat, dairy products, Stoichev specified.
In a larger group of 190 products that the Commission monitors, the increase in prices over the past year has been estimated at 8 per cent.
