The Serbian Anti-Corruption Agency denied on Wednesday the reports in certain Belgrade media that the charges against Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic would be withdrawn.
Such allegations are untrue, the Agency said in a release.
“The information is not an official stand of the Agency and is treated as pressure and illegal influence on its work,” the release reads.
The Belgrade media have reported that the Agency would withdraw the charges against Djelic as soon as he presented evidence that he had transferred all management rights for the company House of Europe Invest B.V. to another person.
On Tuesday, the Anti-Corruption Agency submitted a request to launch proceedings against Djelic, since he did not within the prescribed period transfer the management control of the company owned by him to another person.
Djelic has told Tanjug that he had indeed transferred the rights and that he would submit the evidence to the Agency and other relevant bodies, adding that the company did not have any operation in Serbia.
