Serbian Minister of Energy and Mining Petar Skundrich has expressed the expectation that prices for electricity in Serbia would go up as of March 1.

“The price for electricity in Serbia is the lowest in Europe. Due to the development of the Electric Power Industry of Serbia, which is important for the development of other branches of industry in the country, the prices of electric energy should be revised,” Skundric told the Belgrade-based daily Danas.

Skundric said the revision of prices would be only a one-off increase.
