Serbian MoD Sutanovac visits U.S. aircraft carrier Enteprise

The cooperation between Serbia and the United States in the defence sector is the best segment in the overall bilateral relations between the two countries.This is the first visit of a Serbian Defense Ministry and Serbian Army delegation to a U.S. aircraft carrier.

Serbian Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac and Serbian Army Chief of General Staff Lt. Gen. Miloje Miletic have visited the U.S. aircraft carrier Enterprise.The Serbian delegation also included Commander of Serbian Air Force and Air Defence Brigadier General Ranko Zivak.

This is the first visit of a Serbian Defense Ministry and Serbian Army delegation to a U.S. aircraft carrier.

The Serbian officials visited the carrier at the invitation of the U.S. Embassy in Serbia. Such visits are organized for top political and military officials from friendly countries.

Its most developed aspect is the programme of state partnership with the Ohio National Guard and the international military education programme.

Several different agreements are to be signed during 2011.

The cooperation between Serbia and the United States in the defence sector is the best segment in the overall bilateral relations between the two countries.

USS Enterprise is the first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier in the world and is the central element of CSG 12 (carrier strike group), part of the US Navy's 6th Fleet.
