The dinar weakened against the euro by 53 paras Monday, setting the official middle exchange rate at RSD 98.0782, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) released.

NBS had earlier announced that it would buy a total of EUR 40 million at the interbank foreign exchange market in 20 days, so as to ease excessive daily volatility of the exchange rate. The data on daily purchases are not published.
