The population and property census in Serbia has recorded about 7.2 million citizens and 3.1 million households in the past 12 days, head of the Census Department of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia Snezana Lakcevic told Tanjug Thursday.

The census is practically entering the final stage, and is due to end on October 15 at 20 pm, she said.
Lakcevic said that additional registration of citizens who were absent in the past 12 days is planned for October 16, 17 and 18.
Director of the Statistical Office Dragan Vukmirovic is Thursday in Novi Pazar, where he will discuss potential problems with Mayor Meho Mahmutovic.
Vukmirovic told Tanjug that he has already visited Presevo.
Albanians in the south of central Serbia and the chief mufti of the Islamic Community in Serbia called on ethnic Albanians and Bosniaks to boycott the population census.
