The candidacy of Belgrade for the European Capital of Culture 2020 was presented at the 9th European Week of Regions and Cities organized in scope of the Open Days 2011 in Brussels on Wednesday.
The candidacy of Belgrade for the European Capital of Culture 2020 was presented at the 9th European Week of Regions and Cities organized in scope of the Open Days 2011 in Brussels on Wednesday.
The candidacy of Belgrade for the European Capital of Culture 2020 was presented to more than 100 participants and cultural experts from Europe and Russia.
Chairman of the Belgrade 2020 Organizing Committee Aleksandar Pekovic and his deputy Marko Marsicevic took part in a meeting dedicated to the future and prospects of the European Capital of Culture Project, in scope of the conference dubbed 'European Capitals of Culture Stimulating Cultural and Creative Industries.'
European Capitals of Culture Ruhr 2010, Turku 2011, Tallinn 2011, Maribor 2012, Kosice 2013, Umea 2014 and the project 'Belgrade 2020' were presented on that ocassion.
The delegation of the Belgrade project met with Member of European Parliament Ioannis Kasoulides, after which they attended the Maribor 2012 promotion where they conferred with numerous EU officials.
