First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic last night congratulated Vladimir Putin on winning the presidential election in Russia.

Dacic voiced his hope that the two states will establish firmer ties to the benefit of both peoples.

“With all my heart I congratulate you on the election victory. Your victory is celebrated throughout Serbia as you are considered our true friend.

I am certain that with you as the Russian President the friendly relations between Serbia and Russia will further continue in all fields, to the benefit of all citizens”, reads Dacic’s letter.
