Montenegro and Croatia need strong investment cycle, DPMs agree

DPMs Lazović and Čačić underlined the significance of a strong investment cycle for the economy stabilisation and growth in both countries.The cooperation related to concrete projects in energy supply, road infrastructure and tourism can contribute to boosting economic ties.

Deputy Prime Minister Vujica Lazovic met with his Croatian counterparts Radimir Čačić and Branko Grčić earler today in Zagreb.

DPMs Lazović and Čačić underlined the significance of a strong investment cycle for the economy stabilisation and growth in both countries.The cooperation related to concrete projects in energy supply, road infrastructure and tourism can contribute to boosting economic ties.

The initiation of the next session of Croatian–Montenegrin Council for Economic Cooperation, which is to be taken place in Croatia, should be an important incentive in this regard, DPMs Lazović and Čačić emphasised.

DPMs Lazović and Grčić disscused the concrete measures that are to be undertaken in overcoming the negative effects of the global economic crisis with special emphasis on the use of EU funds and pursuing reforms related to regional development.

DPM Lazović congratulated on this occasion the Croatian Government on the successfully implemented referendum on the EU membership. He also thanked the Croatian people for the support and assistance during severe weather conditions Montenegro has faced recently.
