The main goal of the project is increasing capacities of local self-governments in the field of energy efficiency.

In the presence of Macedonian Minister for Environmental Protection and Spatial Planning Nedžati Jakupi, Georg Valdner, Chairman of EVN Makedonija management Board, and representatives of UNID in FYRMacedonia signed a memorandum on cooperation in implementation of the project related to easing climate changes through improvement of energy efficiency in civil-engineering sector.

The main goal of the project is increasing capacities of local self-governments in the field of energy efficiency.

The project should support districts in implementing the directive on energy in buildings, which will be implemented on the local level. According to Jakupi, one of the biggest problems Macedonian districts deal with, and that is energy efficiency, will be solved thanks to the project.
