Speaking about the security situation in Croatia after the death of Osama bin Laden, Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor said on Monday Croatia was a member of the anti-terrorist coalition and NATO, that fighting terrorism was the obligation of all and that certain steps were being taken.

"The government believes that fighting terrorism is everyone's obligation and that everyone must do their share. We talked about these new facts and we are taking certain steps," Kosor told reporters in Borovo, asked to comment on the security situation in Croatia after Bin Laden was killed in a US operation in Pakistan on Sunday.

Interior Minister Tomislav Karamarko told reporters that the security situation in Croatia is good as it has been so far, adding that the security situation should remain like that in the future as well.

"Croatia is a member of the anti-terrorist coalition and in my opinion, a hard-working and very good member," Karamarko said.

Kosor and Karamarko attended a ceremony in the eastern town of Borovo commemorating 12 members of the Vinkovci special police unit who had been massacred by Serb paramilitary forces 20 years ago.
