Serbian President Boris Tadic said Wednesday he will undergo surgery in one of Belgrade hospitals within the next two weeks.

Serbian President Boris Tadic said Wednesday he will undergo surgery in one of Belgrade hospitals within the next two weeks.

"I think it is going to be the Military Medical Academy," Tadic told reporters after arriving at the G17 Plus 8th anniversary with the help of a cane.

The president explained that he had hurt his ankle while playing basketball.

The surgery should be on Monday or Tuesday, he noted.

"I will continue working throughout this, just like in earlier cases when I needed medical help. I will be in my office the very next day," he asserted.
