Serbian Interior Minister Ivica Dacic stated Sunday that the goal of the arrest of Serb police officers in Kosovo was to divert attention of ethnic Albanians from the agreement reached between Pristina and Belgrade in Brussels.
Dacic told journalists after a session of the Serbia's Emergency Situation Headquarters that in the manner Pristina wants to show that Serbia's police is present in Kosovo, although in fact this is not true, recalling that the four arrested policemen are working in Vranje, southern Serbia, where the Gnjilane police administration was relocated in 1999.
If Serbia had police in Kosovo, the international community would face much less difficulties, Dacic noted.
