Two Romanian soldiers killed in Afghanistan

According to the Ministry, on Friday, October 1, 10:30 a.m. local hour, Sergeant Major Marius Florin Sfeches and soldier Cristian Petru Filip died on duty during the execution of a mission in Afghanistan in an attack by an improvised explosive device on the Humvee vehicle in which they were.
Two Romanian soldiers have died on duty on Friday in Afghanistan after an improvised explosive device attack on a vehicle in which they were, announced the Romanian Ministry of National Defense (MApN).
According to the Ministry, on Friday, October 1, 10:30 a.m. local hour, Sergeant Major Marius Florin Sfeches and soldier Cristian Petru Filip died on duty during the execution of a mission in Afghanistan in an attack by an improvised explosive device on the Humvee vehicle in which they were.
The attack occurred in Zabul province, about 40 km north-east of Qalat, the explosion hurting also Corporal Vasile Zbanca.
The wounded soldier was immediately taken by helicopter to the military hospital of the Lagman base, as procedure dictates, with his medical conditions at present being stable.
The wounded soldier and the two soldiers who lost their lives were members of the 812th Maneuver Battalion Soimii Carpatilor.'
The Romanian Minister of National Defense, Gabriel Oprea, has signed the orders to posthumously promote to Second Lieutenant the two soldiers who sacrificed their life under the colors of the national flag and who proved their exceptional devotion for the country during the execution of the mission in the theatre of operations in Afghanistan.
In over eight years of presence of the Romanian troops in the theatre of operations in Afghanistan, 10 militaries lost their lives and over 30 others were wounded.
