On Thursday, July 14 Ambassador Mary Warlick paid a visit to Smederevo to meet with Mayor Predrag Umičević.

On Thursday, July 14 Ambassador Mary Warlick paid a visit to Smederevo to meet with Mayor Predrag Umičević.

They discussed the municpality’s plans for the future and issues of mutual importance, including the role of U.S. Steel in Smederevo’s economy.

Together they also visited the newly opened, USAID-funded Citizen Assistance Center, which will improve the quality and transparency of city services for the people of Smederevo.

Following their discussion, the mayor hosted the ambassador and municipal representatives for a tour and lunch at the Residence Obrenovic.
