Serbian parliament Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic said Monday that the republic and local elections in the country would be called on March 13.
“We will call elections in the whole country, but they will not be general local elections because some councilors' terms will not expire in this period,” Djukic-Dejanovic told Radio and television of Serbia (RTS).
She added that the elections in Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) would be held in cooperation with the international community, as envisaged by Resolution 1244.
Djukic-Dejanovic noted that the elections will be held on April 29 or May 6.
She added that MPs would complete the first extraordinary session today and vote on personnel changes in judiciary, and then begin a new session, at which they should ratify a huge number of different agreements and contracts.
