Vice-Chairman of Serbia's National Competitiveness Council Dragan Vukadinovic has stated that this body's aim is to make Serbia climb up the world's list of most competitive countries from the current 96th to 70th position, which is why this body will continue working on identifying obstacles and defining new measures for improving the country's competitiveness.

Vukadinovic told the journalists at the conference dubbed 'Competitiveness in the Name of the Game' that 38 measures were adopted in 2010 for removing the obstacles to Serbia's competitiveness, some of which were implemented and some of which were not.

He announced that a meeting will be held at the Serbian government in April to discuss the means to accelerate the implementation of the measures which have not yet been introduced.

Serbia ranks 96th on the World Economic Forum's list of most competitive countries, which is a lower ranking compared to the neighboring countries.

Serbia's National Competitiveness Council organized the conference 'Competitiveness in the Name of the Game' with the aim to establish a constructive dialogue between the representatives of the government and the economy on the key problems of the country's competitiveness.

The conclusions made at the conference will be included in the Action Plan for enhancing competitiveness in the period to come.
