SIK Simpo factory opens in Kursumlija

In Kursumlija, the Serbian Government representatives attended the opening of the Sik Simpo factory which produces raw hardboard, employs 522 workers, thanks to the Government assistance worth 14 million euros.

In Kursumlija, the Serbian Government representatives attended the opening of the Sik Simpo factory which produces raw hardboard, employs 522 workers, thanks to the Government assistance worth 14 million euros.

This year the factory will produce goods worth over 20 million euros, and announced is the support of the state worth 1.5 million euros for a new production line.

The opening of the factory was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic, Deputy Prime Ministers Verica Kalanovic and Jovan Krkobabic, Economy Minister Nebojsa Ciric and other guests.

Dacic said that the reopening of the factory in Kursumlija is a heroic act of its workers because it was done in times of crisis and pointed that this region is of strategic importance for the whole of Serbia.

Kalanovic said that the Government is fighting for every man and every factory and promised continued assistance in the modernization of factories in Kursumlija.
