The Government of Japan offers four scholarship programs for 2013, for students from Bosnia and Herzegovina who wish to study at Japanese universities.
At the Rectorate of the University of Sarajevo, today a cultural attaché of the Embassy of Japan in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Tamaki Usuda held a presentation for students on four scholarship programs awarded by the Japanese government in 2013 under the Monbukagakusho (Ministry of Education) scholarship programs.
Tamaki informed the students about the requirements to compete, scholarship opportunities and experiences of students who have studied at Japanese universities.
Scholarship programs for 2013 include student researchers, undergraduates, students of technology, and students of professional training institutions.
For postgraduate (research) program and other programs, applicants must be willing to learn the Japanese language, as well as to have a good command of English.
"In particular, I would like to point out that the program covers all costs, including enrollment, life in Japan, return ticket, a monthly allowance of 2,700 KM," said Tamaki.
Applications must be sent directly to the Embassy of Japan in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the deadline for submissions is 8 June.
